A very readable book for all from young adults through to very much older adults, written by an experienced family therapist in a language for ordinary people. It shows how our maturity is impacted by and impacts upon the relationships in our lives. This book describes a path to maturity, to ‘growing ourselves up’, which involves the humility to take responsibility for our lives, to ask the question, ”What is my part?” rather than blaming others. A book to read from cover to cover as it moves through the stages of life but then to dip into relevant sections again when needed for ourselves or to understand others eg. leaving home, parenting, retirement.
