The Reconnected Heart
Dr Jonathan Andrews
Do you carry pain from a previous or existing relationship?

Perhaps a friend, family member or partner has hurt you and you just can't seem to get over it. You try to move forward, but you have suffered injuries of connection and your heart isn't healing.

Injuries of connection can be the deepest and most disruptive of all psychological conditions, leading to deep feelings of betrayal, worthlessness, shame and alienation.

But there is hope.

While it is true that relationships can hurt us, they can also heal us. Your heart can mend by connecting with yourself, connecting with safe and understanding people, and connecting with the God who created you and longs to love you in the midst of your pain.

Using his 20 years of experience as a practising clinical psychologist, together with biblical foundations, insights from literature and scientific evidence, Dr Jonathan Andrews will lead you through the steps of healing. He will guide you through the chaos of psychological injuries caused by disconnection and towards a reconnected heart-and set you up for a life of trust, self-esteem, honour and belonging.
Resolving Everyday Conflict
Ken Sande and Kevin Johnson
Starting with his introduction, Ken Sande makes it plain that Resolving Everyday Conflict will distill principles from his classic book The Peacemaker. “Since you picked up this book, there’s a good chance you’re experiencing some conflict in your life. Welcome to the club!” He adds, “If you find the principles in this book helpful and want to dig deeper on specific peacemaking issues, read my book The Peacemaker.”

The Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness
Timothy Keller
"The Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness," explores the idea that true freedom and joy come from a state of self-forgetfulness, which is rooted in gospel humility. This concept suggests that individuals can find peace and fulfillment by shifting their focus away from themselves and their egos, allowing them to engage more authentically with the world around them.

Wisdom from Romans for Dealing with Your Workplace Conflicts
Andrew Spencer is a Senior Research Fellow for IFWE and an associate editor for books at The Gospel Coalition. He suggests four Biblical steps to tackling conflict:

1. Pray for the person making life difficult - Pray for those who persecute you (Matt 5:44).

2. Love people who get under your skin - Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us (1 Peter 2:12).

3. Prioritise peace - In Romans 12:18, Paul instructs his readers, “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.”

4. Take the long view - Christian character can often only become evident and clear to others in ongoing situations of conflict. Over time, they might see GRACE through Fruits of the Spirit. E.g. humility, love, forgiveness and a desire to be reconciled are key markers of Christians in conflict situations
